GreenPower Motor Company produces a complete line of high-floor and low-floor all-electric heavy-duty and medium-duty vehicles. The EV Star Cab & Chassis is their flagship vehicle, and it can be customized to suit a variety of applications. The platform's clean sheet design allows for optimal battery pack placement and a lower center of gravity resulting in better payload-to-range ratios.

The EV Star REEFERX is designed to serve mid to last mile refrigerated delivery as well as catering applications. The refrigerated truck's class 4 design's one wall structure in the interior and higher insulation than traditional trucks allow for seamless sanitation, improved temperature control and a longer life. The EV Star REEFERX offers superior cargo capacity, and an industry-leading payload to allow for zero emission transport of passengers or goods.

GreenPower has partnered with Perrone Robotics to up-fit the EV Star with their TONY (To Navigate You) autonomous vehicle system, which will allow fleets to seamlessly move to autonomous vehicles. The AV Star will also be able to support wireless charging at 75 kW.

We had the opportunity to test drive the EV9 for several hours on a local highway and found it easy to drive and comfortable for long distances.  green scooter  can be used to block wind and road noise while driving along the highway. It is smooth on ruts and humps. The acceleration of the vehicle is astonishingly fast, and it comes with adjustable regenerative brakes that permit "one-pedal driving" simply by lifting off the accelerator.

The EV9 has a great range and can be fully charged in about three hours at home or with any commercial charger. The driver can select from two operating modes - eco mode and sport mode. Eco mode focuses on the torque and cruise control while the sport mode increases speed and handling. Both are a lot of fun to drive and provide an experience unlike any other for anyone that has never been in an electric vehicle before.

In addition to the EV9, GreenPower has several other e-vehicles available, such as a multi-purpose, all-electric mini bus called the EV Star. The EV Star is ADA compliant and can be used as an executive shuttle, micro-transit or transit bus, vanpool, or a paratransit vehicle.

GreenPower is already producing around 10 EV Star buses a month for the Jacksonville Transit Authority, which is working to replace their fleet of diesel vehicles with 100 fully electric vehicles. GreenPower will increase production to meet the needs of the Biden Administration, which is looking to electrify all school buses in America. Their EV Star buses are the first of their kind to be Altoona tested and FMVSS certified. They are Buy America compliant, and ADA compliant. This means they will be eligible for federal transit assistance grants. We will be following the AV Star as it begins its demonstration tour the coming months. We will be sure to provide more information on this innovative EV!
